BSS Operations Officer is responsible for Telenor Pakistan's Interconnect billing related operational activities. This includes areas for configuration, registration of interconnect operators; CDR files collections & rating, dispute handling with other carriers, software & hardware capacity planning. BSS Operations officer will also be responsible for working on change requests related to aforementioned areas.
Key Responsibilities:
Implementing data & rating configurations for Interconnect carriers.
Collection & rating of CDR files for interconnect carriers.
Invoice generation for Interconnect carriers.
Monitoring & trouble shooting of different processes involved in rating & billing for interconnect operators.
Responsible for achieving departmental KPIs.
Establish & maintain good working relationships with internal customers & vendors.
Application administration & configuration.
Analyze new requirements and design optimal solutions for sustainable performance.
Provide support in testing of new changes in system.
Documentation of processes & procedures.
Keep track of software user & support licensing.
Dispute handling.
Functional Skills/Knowledge Areas:
Basic understanding of Business Support Systems.
Excellent presentation & communication skills.
Hands on experience of Oracle SQL & PL/SQL, Shell Scripting, UNIX/LINUX, programming languages.
Must be a team player with good negotiations skills.
Ability to prioritize & handle multiple tasks in a high- pressure environment.
Ability to handle functional enhancements & change requests.
Prior experience of working with a telecom company/vendor would be a plus.
ITIL Foundation, CMMI or Six Sigma Green Belt certification would be an added advantage.
