Under the overall supervision of WHO Representative in Pakistan and technical supervision of Provincial DEWS Coordinator, the incumbent will be responsible for the following functions:
Work as data analyst for DEWS at the Provincial Office with the following duties:
Edit, clean, compile and analyze the DEWS reporting data received daily or weekly from different health facilities or mobile teams from the districts where DEWS is functioning.
Produce daily or weekly DEWS bulletin under direct supervision of the Provincial DEWS Coordinator /Team Leader.
Coordinate preparation of DEWS data sets for each district and comparisons of health-related outcomes across different sub-populations, and perform other data extraction and statistical analysis as needed for preparation of different reports
Assist in capacity building and training of DEWS team (surveillance officers/DOH staff) on Electronic DEWS implementation, data management and analysis
Prepare brief reports on priority communicable diseases and diseases under surveillance, trends, alert response and program aspects, including reports on monthly, quarterly or yearly basis as needed for program
Maintain electronic DEWS database for the province using the eDEWS software Epi-Info and Epi-Data, and other software
Review field reports from districts affected by disasters (earthquake and flood and other crises) as well as IDPs hosting districts. Maintain records and list of districts, Health facilities participating in DEWS
Helping in GIS Unit along with developing the maps, inputting, documenting and updating maps
Performs other duties as requested by supervisor.
