The Australian Agency for International Development (AudAID) advised the Government of Australia on international development policy and manages Australia’s overseas aid program. AusAID is looking for a highly motivated Senior Agriculture and Rural Development Adviser to provide policy and technical leadership in the design and implementation of Australia’s growing Agriculture and Rural Development program in Pakistan.

Based in the Australian High Commission in Islamabad, the Adviser will provide high quality policy and technical advice to AusAID. The Adviser will lead donor coordination efforts and coordinate closely with government, bilateral and multilateral partners. The successful applicant will have specialist knowledge and significant experience in agriculture and rural development with relevant qualifications and experience.
A competitive remuneration package and conditions of employment will be negotiated, commensurate package and conditions of employment will be negotiated, commensurate with the demonstrated experience, expertise and skills of the successful applicant. This will be a two year position with possible one year extension.

This position is not an Australian Public Service position.
