A well known International Engineering company is looking for a SNR Design Engineer. The purpose of this vacancy will be to design and conceptualising detailed engineering components. This a High pressure driven environment. Company offers a very competitive salary which will be experience and skills related. Must be a seasond design engineer with at least 7 years experience.

• A B.Eng Degree /B.Tech
• Ability to work on CAD programmes is essential
• Minimum 7 years design experience

PURPOSE OF THE JOB
• Designing and conceptualising detailed engineering components, furnaces and related equipment using modern engineering tools.
• Ensuring that designs are fit for purpose, fully reflect the client requirements, are cost effective and efficient to manufacture.
• Focusing on developing new products, support and lead design reviews, utilise design methods / techniques and document the design basis for each product and project.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
• Comparison of previous designs and documenting the learnings
• Accurately design mechanical systems
• Do all required calculations
• Attend and minute all design reviews
• Present drawings as complete designs and ensure that designs are within budget constraints
• Present all drawings with all interfaces shown
• Ensure “issued for construction files” are updated with the latest revisions
• Review drawings & liaise with Project Engineers and Site Supervisors
• Liaise with the Drawing Office Manager
• Adhere to design and draughting deadlines
• Prepare and compile Operating Manuals
• Resolve design issues in conjunction with Senior Engineers
• Resolve workshop fabrication queries
• Resolve site erection queries
• Coach and assist Junior Engineers
