A diplomatic mission in Islamabad is seeking a qualified individual for the position of "Director of Media" for its office in Islamabad. The following minimum requirements and experience.
Education: Bachelor's degree (16 years of education), English, journalism, mass communication, political science, international relations and strategic studies for the Defense.
Experience: Minimum 3 years experience in the media (print and electronic) with considerable knowledge of local and international political, economic and social rights. A thorough understanding of media environments, current trends and multimedia technologies is desirable.
Communication skills: professional level language skills (sufficient structural accuracy and vocabulary) to read and write in English and Urdu. Expertise in other regional languages (s) relevant to the coverage is desirable. The incumbent has the ability to translate the selected print and audio material in a clear idiomatic English from Urdu and other languages.
Duration: Initially for one year with opportunity for renewal.
