Candidates are expected to have one or more of the following (i) senior level experience in an infrastructure development or investment company/fund, or investment banking specializing in infrastructure project finance: (ii) successful track record of developing and closing infrastructure projects, managing joint ventures/partnerships in Asia or raising capital for investment in Asia, (iii) excellent contracts and relationships in South Asia and Southeast Asia Including at senior levels in Government.
Candidates must demonstrate: (i) an appreciation of the development mandate of IAD and the objectives of the PIDG and how these may influence decision making by the board compared to a fully commercial development company: (ii) a good standing in the region derived from an excellent track record of business and/or public sector achievement in Asia (iii) and understanding of the governance issues involved in managing a publicly funded, privately operated company: and (iv) a good understanding of the different cultures in the region, probably gained through residence and work experience in Asia.
