This position is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all the Special Projects being implemented under RSPN’s Special Projects Wing. Special Projects are those signed with donors and sub-contracted to RSPs by the RSPN, for implementation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Overall management of RSPN projects, related work with project donors and implementing RSPs/partners
Develop project concept notes, proposals, results frameworks and budgets
Develop and ensure implementation of SOPs for the general management, compliance and audit of all projects
Oversee specifically project compliance systems and project compliance staff in the unit which are to submit periodic compliance reports
Oversee specifically the internal audit staff working with the Special Projects Wing to ensure regular audit of all projects, their sharing with implementing partners and the resolution of any audit issues. Coordinate with RSPN’s Finance Section on this task.
Develop grant agreements with sub-recipients and partners
Oversee project staff and monitor operations and progress, and ensure timely and effective achievement of milestones as per approved guidelines and work plans
Be responsible for final reports to donors
Conduct periodic field visits to partner RSPs in any RSP project district in order to monitor specific project progress
Maintain a database of all grants and related documents
Education:
Master’s Degree in Economics or Social Sciences
Experience and Skills:
A minimum of 10 years’ experience in project management with donor agencies and/or government
A sound understanding of monitoring and managing donor contracts
Demonstrated experience of managing and ensuring projects compliances
Excellent report writing skills
Excellent command over the English language, Urdu and any local language
Excellent command over computer use and key packages (a test will be given as part of interview)
Strong leadership, inter-personal and team skills
Ability to travel extensively
Experience of having worked with village communities, to manage projects
