Responsibilities
Key Duties :
· Develop long-range programs and plans for the increased effectiveness of the department, including fire safety education and programs
· Direct the hiring, training, promotions and terminations of department personnel. Projects and proposes staffing needs. Evaluates and authorizes staffing, man hours, for the department Responsible for the professional development and training of all QHSE staff. ensuring that appropriate training is identified and provided for Divisional personnel.
Implementation of organizational cultures and management directions..
· To lead accident/incident investigation, supporting project investigation to ensure timely investigation and implementation of effective improvement/prevention measure.
Supervise and participate in the development and administration of the fire & safety budget, service agreements, and contract negotiations for service delivery in areas concerned.
· Oversees and manages personnel including disciplinary actions and internal affairs investigation.
· Develops and implements standard operating procedures for the department.
· Provides and ensures all employees are provided a safe work environment and receive the necessary training to perform their job in a safe manner and ensures compliance of all policies and procedures.
· Plans, supervises, and participates in residential, commercial, building inspections to determine violations of and to enforce adherence to safety laws and ordinances,
· To manage all external audits as and when required.
Skills :
Education:
· Bachelor’s or Masters degree in a relevant discipline.
Experience
· 10 + years' prior demonstrated experience Health and Safety with a NEBOSH certification
· Experience in strategic planning and execution. Knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management.

· Must be able to work under one’s own initiative and have a keen eye for detail.
