PURCHASE OFFICER (1)
BPS-17 on Contractual basis plus all admissible allowances as per University Rules
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERINECE:
6-10 years working experience as a purchase officer in a reputable organization.
At least 1st division master degree in Public or Business administration from HEC recognized University / Institution
The responsibility will include procurement, tendering, bidding, clearing, dispatches, general insurance handling and other related matters.
Coordination and correspondence with banks regarding Letter of Credits (LC), FDDs, Transfer, insurance and other related matters.
Coordination and tracking of shipments/orders to ensure on-time delivery of material.
Strong knowledge of scientific equipment, chemicals, solvents and other items with ability to apply defined procedures as per Government rules.
Ability to reconcile purchase records and documents.
Preference will be given to a person having relevant experience with ability to manage overall purchase section of a large organization and capability t perform any other duties as may be required by the management.
Good understanding of Government rules and procedures for procurement of scientific and other goods.
Good management and interpersonal skills with command over written and spoken English.
