Position: Director Child Protection and Child Rights Governance Location: Islamabad
As a key member of the Expanded Senior Management Team, you will provide strategic, technical and management leadership, for the protection and child rights governance programs for SCI in Pakistan. The Director Protection will develop and deliver strategies that provide for the creation of an environment where children are safeguarded against abuse, neglect, exploitation and violence; where children's voices are listened to and acted upon; where the civil society has the capacity to monitor and respond to child rights violations and where the governance systems are adhering to child rights framework. The Director of Protection Programs and Child Rights Governance will work at national level in Pakistan with the appropriate line ministries to further influence policy regarding issues relating to Child Rights, Child Governance, full implementation of the CRC, street children, child labour passage of Child Protection Bill etc. This position reports to Deputy Country Director Programmes.
Requirements
■      Post-graduate degree in Protection, Child Rights or equivalent
■      At least 5-10 years' experience managing complex protection programs at scale in Pakistan and preferably other countries
■      Demonstrated experience managing complex operations in development and emergency situations
■      Experience in advocacy at the level of Govt., communities, NGOs, and donor agencies. Strong understanding of relevant ministry and structure of line departments for National/ Provincial and District level advocacy with Govt.
■      Good understanding of protection concepts and issues in a development context.
3-5 years experience of concurrently supervising multiple projects. Excellent management and communications skills Ability to establish partnerships and networks Ability to write clear and concise reports along with fluency in English , both written and verbal
