Senior /Lead Development Geophysicist
Key Accountabilities
· 2D / 3D seismic data interpretation / evaluation
· Well optimization (infill/step out) by integrating all G&G and Production information
· Integration of Seismic with geological / petrophysical data for reservoir characterization
· Create and interpret seismic attributes (pre and post stack) for reservoir characterization
· Risking, volumetrics and economics
· Quantitative Geophysics during different phases of the project
· Timely and accurate Geophysical input for the static models
· Planning, supervision and execution of seismic processing projects and geophysical studies (in-house and out-sourced)
· Coordinate with the contractors on different Geophysical studies and ensure timely completion, accurate results and within budget
· Preparation of well proposals & technical presentations for TCM/JV Partners
Qualification & Experience
· MSc in Geophysics from an HEC recognized institute with minimum relevant experience of 7 years
· Extensive experience in Field Development and Appraisal
· Extensive experience in developing Stratigraphic traps
· Highly experienced in performing 2D / 3D Seismic interpretation and quantitative Geophysics
· Extensive experience in well planning in complex reservoirs
· Experience for working in different tectonic settings (Extensional, Compressional, Strike Slip)
· Significant knowledge of other disciplines, e.g. Geology and Reservoir Prod. Eng.
· High Proficiency in the use of OMV’s Geophysical softwares (Petrel, Humpsen & Russell, GF (Preferable), Petrosys, Geox)
